The double murderer Aleksa Mican, who was released on leave, did not return to the Zenica prison today, Rusmir Isak, director of the Zenica Penitentiary, confirmed for Klix.ba.

As Isak explained, Mican was put on leave before he assumed the position of director, and considering that he did not return, a warrant was issued for him.

Redžo Kahrić, now the former director of the Zenica Penitentiary, released Mican on leave, and it is currently unknown whether this is the first time that Mican has been released outside the premises of the Zenica prison.

In 2004, Mican killed Senad Lepirica and Adem Ćatić, employees of the “IT Computers” company, in the apartment he rented in the Mojmilo settlement, and then stole five laptops. He fired 12 bullets at the workers.

He was sentenced to 25 years in prison, and has served 19 years so far.

Since 2000, 30 criminal charges have been filed against Mican. Two warrants have been issued for him. One was issued by the Municipal Court in Sarajevo in 2002, and the other by the Municipal Court in Zenica in 2004.

Aleksa Mican, whose real name is Anis Kundalić, used numerous names during his frauds and other criminal activities.
