Dramatic Situation in the Federal Police Administration

As Klix.ba learns, due to the non-appointment of the head of the Federal Police Administration (FUP), more precisely, acting director, this police agency is in a  difficult situation.

Namely, the signing of acts and other important processes were suspended, which brought the FUP to a rather dramatic state. For the last 48 hours, the FUP has no director and no official act, no criminal report can be signed and sent outside the FUP.

As Klix.ba has learned, Federal Minister of the Interior Ramo Isak asked Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić to call an emergency telephone meeting today to appoint acting director.

Earlier, Vahidin Munjić was proposed for that position, but this item was removed from the agenda of the last session. If they want to unblock numerous processes within the FUP and establish the normal work of the agency that fulfills tasks and jobs, it is necessary to appoint a manager.

At the end of the mandate of acting director Ensad Korman, at the beginning of May, the FUP does not have a person leading the entity’s police agency.

We remind you that FBiH Interior Minister Ramo Isak yesterday sent letters to the Speakers of the House of Representatives and the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament to form an Independent Committee as soon as possible in order to conduct a competition for the director of the Federal Police Administration (FUP).

When the Independent Board is formed, they are obliged to conduct a competition procedure for the director of the FUP, and then submit a list of candidates to the Minister of Internal Affairs, who sends the names to the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.

Although the Government of the Federation at the session of May 11 was supposed to consider the appointment of acting director of the Federal Police Administration, this item was removed from the agenda.

As a result, the Federal Police Administration remained without leadership in the following period as Ensad Korman’s mandate expired even earlier, Klix.ba reports.
