Muriz Memić, the father of the murdered young man Dženan Memić, stated today, on the ninth anniversary of the attack on his son Dženan in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Ilidža, that the state has betrayed not only the Memić family, but also all citizens.
Dženan Memić was attacked on February 8, 2016, in Velika Aleja, in Ilidža, and seven days later he died of his injuries at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo.
His father Muriz Memić said at a gathering of several hundred citizens at the “Wounded Stone” monument near the scene of the attack: “I see that I am not alone, there are many citizens here who are deprived of their rights and many others who have been supporting me all these years”.
He assessed that BiH is “the most corrupt country in the world” and said that he feels betrayed and that he believes that nothing will happen with the criminal charges for the murder of his son Dženan.
“As much as the murder, I am interested in the accomplices, and here we are waiting for them to suspend the investigation into (a judge of the Court of BiH and former prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton) Dalida Burzić. I can get to the murderer tomorrow, but they have to answer,” said Muriz Memić.
The BiH Prosecutor’s Office suspended the investigation into Dalida Burzić, suspected of participating in hiding the murderers of Dženan Memić.
He stressed that he would “take justice into his own hands and avenge his son”.
Arijana Memić, the sister of the murdered Dženan, said that, on the one hand, there was “politics that covered up the murder”, and that, on the other hand, “politics that, in the beginning, wanted to solve the murder” emerged.
“There is no politics in Bosnia and Herzegovina that is ready to go to the end to investigate the murder of our Dženan”, she stressed.
She added that “now she lives in fear that the state, which protected her brother’s murderers, will also take her father”, Beta writes.
