In the Eid message on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, Reis ul-Ulema of the Islamic Community in BiH Husein Effendi Kavazović said the following:
“We thank the Merciful Allah for all blessings and gifts, for the mercy he brings upon us. Peace be upon his messenger Muhammad and all his faithful followers.
We will mark the Eid Al-Adha with a prayer and sacrifice. Our mosques will be full of believers and hearts full of true joy. The Feast of Sacrifice is an opportunity to remember that our life path demands renunciation and sacrifice. We remember the messenger Ibrahim PBUH and his sons and their readiness to obey the Lod of the Worlds.
Also, we remember other messengers of Allah (peace be upon them) and good people, our ancestors, who lived their life in faith and conveyed it to us.
May this memory be a call for fulfillment of obligations we have and for solidarity among us. Just like our good ancestors, only we are responsible for our actions and our own fate.
It depends on our awareness of that responsibility how we will carry it and how much power we will have to manage ourselves and our destiny.
May Eid Al-Adha remind us to the primordial endeavor to come closer to the mercy of Allah, as well as to brothers and sisters who need us.
The aim of kurban is to bring us closer to each other, to strengthen our family and the society we live in.
We have that opportunity in the days that are ahead of us and let’s use it properly. That was we will solve our problems easier and take the paths of our destiny with more peace.
That is why I invite everyone in our homeland to work on raising our families, raising our children, and keeping our unity.
Let’s return the true values of morale and mutual respect to our families.
Let’s strive to provide all our children with good upbringing and education, so that they could appreciate the value of unity and life as we have been nourishing it for years.
Brothers and sisters, I wish you all happy and prosperous Eid days. Spend them with your families, friends and neighbors. May the light of Eid fill our hearts and enter homes of ours and of our families.
