Bosnian skier Elvedina Muzaferija continues her international success. Today, she won a silver medal in the downhill event at the elite alpine skiing competition “112 eme Chp de France Elite Trophee Caisse d’Epargne” in Méribel, France.
Muzaferija covered the course in a time of 1:15.86, which placed her in second place behind French skier Romana Miradoli, who was only 53 hundredths faster. Laura Gauche took third place, 61 hundredths behind the winner.
Interestingly, all three skiers on the podium are already well-known in the world of professional skiing as regular participants in the FIS World Cup. In addition to them, 23 other competitors from France competed in this prestigious competition, as well as Arielle Desrosiers from Canada and Cande Moreno from Andorra, who unfortunately did not manage to finish their races.
For the 25-year-old from Visoko, this is just part of her ambitious competition schedule in France, where she will continue competing for the next three days. After successful seasons in the FIS World Cup and FIS Europe Cup, Muzaferija is now aiming for additional medals and FIS points that would ensure her even better placement in the next season.
It is particularly significant that our skier has already secured an A norm for the 2026 Milan-Cortina Olympic Games in the 2023/2024 competition season, which allows her to optimally prepare for this greatest sporting competition.
Tomorrow, starting at 9:15 am, the Championnat de France 2025 in the women’s downhill discipline will be held in Méribel, while the Super-G discipline is scheduled for April 3 and 4. Skiing enthusiasts from Bosnia and Herzegovina are eagerly awaiting new performances and potential successes of our best alpine skier, Federalna writes.
