Schalke 04 shared an interesting video on the club’s TikTok account where they asked their footballers which jersey they wore first as children.
“It was the jersey of my club from Bosnia and Herzegovina – FK Željezničar (Football Club Željezničar),” replied the striker of the Gelsenkirchen club.
Several other footballers at the Veltins Arena were asked the same question.
Džeko began his career at Željezničar, then played in the Czech Republic for Teplice and Ústí nad Labem, before completing a great career wearing the jerseys of Wolfsburg, Manchester City, AS Roma, Inter Milan, Fenerbahce, Fiorentina and now Schalke.
The German giant brought Džeko in with the aim of securing a return to the top tier of German football – the Bundesliga.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina goalscorer has been playing excellently since arriving at Schalke, scoring five goals and providing three assists in seven matches.
