Employees of the Embassy of Germany in Sarajevo organized a traditional Christmas bazaar yesterday. They offered different contents, and visitors, as every year, had the opportunity to participate in the fundraising charity campaign by purchasing offered products.
Thus, traditional culinary specialties (such as Christmas cookies, cooked wines and German sausages – currywursta) were prepared in the building of the Embassy of Germany, as well as unique handicrafts, Advent wreaths and decorations, as well as numerous other products.
The Ambassador of Germany to BiH Christiane Hohmann is very happy about this event as an opportunity for people to get together and socialize in these days before the holidays, as well as to be humane.
She also stated that among the participants of the bazaar are carriers of some of the projects that the Embassy has been doing this year, including associations of people with special needs from Maglaj, Zepce, Zavidovici, Visoko as well as sports clubs that gather people with disabilities.
“All the money collected from the purchase of products that are exhibited on the bazaar will be given to associations and clubs that took part in this event, as well as those that we have cooperated with before,” said the Ambassador Hohmann.
This humanitarian bazaar is recognizable for its positive festive atmosphere, and this year’s event was opened by the choir for children and youth “Sunflowers (Suncokreti)”.
