Employees of Institutions of BiH announced Protests

Employees of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced protests for Monday, September 20, due to non-signing of the collective agreement and low salaries.

Failure to sign the collective agreement puts the employees in an uncertain legal position, and the basis for calculating the salary of 475.69 BAM endangers their survival, the Independent Trade Union of Civil Servants and Employees in BiH Institutions stated.

In a statement, the union claims that higher salaries are paid to employees in institutions at other levels of government, and that the base for calculating salaries has not been increased in the last 10 years.

The protests will be held on the plateau in front of the building of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 11:00 to 12:00, the Trade Union announced.
