Women’s Vocal Ensemble Corona of the Academic Cultural Center of the University of Sarajevo – Seljo, at the international choir competition Seghizzi in Gorizia (Italy), held last week, has won three bronze medals in the categories of pop, gospel and traditional songs and a gold medal for the best traditional costumes, confirmed for Fena, the conductor of ensemble Tijana Vignjević.
The competition was attended by 18 choirs from around the world, Austria, BiH, Bulgaria, Estonia, Philippines, Indonesia, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Moldova, Norway, Puerto Rico, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey and the USA.
‘’ The departure of Corona Ensemble in Italy was enabled by families Dizdarević and Franjković, NGO “Obrazovanje gradi BiH”, the Ministry of Culture and Sport of the Canton Sarajevo and the Academic Cultural Centre of the University of Sarajevo – Seljo’’, explained Vignjević.
Ensemble Corona was founded by longtime member and leader of the ensemble ‘Prijatelji’, and Slobodan Dodo Kovačević, in 1992. From 1997, the ensemble is leaded by Tijana Vignjević.
BiH in Italy was represented by Anida Isanović, Dunja Kazić, Adelita Kadić, Ajla Smajlović, Esma Sulejmanagić, Darja Softić- Kadenić i Tijana Vignjević.
