hydro power plantWith the executive and final judgment, Elektroprivreda Montenegro and Hydroelectric Power Plant Piva have to compensate damage to the family Kozo for their family house in the center of Gorazde in the amount of 150,000 BAM, which was destroyed by the flood wave in 2015, as confirmed by lawyer Semso Temin.

He added that the proceedings were conducted before the Municipal Court in Gorazde, then the Cantonal Court in Gorazde and the Supreme Court of the FBiH on two occasions. He noted that this case against EP Montenegro lasted for three years, considering that they are responsible for the flood wave that caused damage to a large number of private houses and businesses, as well as the facilities that are in the state possession.

Temin noted that the complaint allegations, in this case, were proven by most eminent experts in BiH in that field and academic experts led by the late Professor Vlatko Dolecek.

“This is the first judgment with which the Hydropower Plant Piva is responsible for the resulting flood and is obliged to pay damages. There are around 30 other proceedings before the competent courts in Gorazde, but this is the only judgment so far,” he noted.

According to Temin, this judgment is a very good news for all citizens of the Drina Valley who suffered damage, and for which is responsible Hydroelectric Power Plant Piva.
