Employee of the Embassy of the Republic of Macedonia to BiH, Aleksandar Krstevski, visited the Municipality Centar of Sarajevo, and the aim of this visit was the establishment of brotherhood relations between the Municipality of Centar and the City of Skopje.

“We have numerous reasons for the establishment of economic, cultural and tourist exchange with the City of Skopje in Macedonia. We will complete all the necessary procedures in order to sign the agreement with the aforementioned city in Macedonia within the planned period of time,” said Mayor of the Municipality Centar, Nedzad Ajnadzic.

He also added that he believes that it is very important to establish regional relations at the local level, which can be helpful at the global and political level as well, in order to ” reach a faster and better solution to certain issues”.

“Our two local communities have a lot of things to offer in the mutual exchange. The experience that Skopje achieved through applications for resources from EU funds can be useful to the Municipality Centar, as well as the experience of this city when it comes to environmental protection. This represents continuation of our efforts to establish relations between the cities and municipalities in BiH and Macedonia,” noted Krstevski.

They agreed to complete the provisions of the Protocol on the Establishment of Brotherhood Relations of the Municipality of Centar and the City of Skopje in the upcoming period, with the aim to officially sign this agreement on April 6, next year, which is the Day of the City of Sarajevo.

Mayor Ajnadzic received the invitation to visit Skopje with his associates, and that was agreed for the mid-January next year.
