zastava-bih-i-euThe European Union welcomes the announcement of an agreement by the BiH Presidency on the Written Commitment to undertake reforms in the framework of the EU Accession Process.

The text of the Written Commitment presented today, which consolidates input provided also by party leaders, is consistent with the requirements set out in the Conclusions of the Foreign Affairs Council of 15 December 2014.

The European Union calls on all party leaders to confirm their explicit support to this Written Commitment.

This Written Commitment establishes a clear path for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Following completion of the domestic procedure, including adoption by the BiH Parliament, the EU will respond as outlined in the Council Conclusions from December 2014.

The EU reiterates its strong commitment to the EU perspective for BiH.
