The EU reiterates the importance of swiftly forming governments at all levels in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in line with the legally prescribed deadlines. This is key for adopting urgent and necessary reforms and for the country to achieve progress on the EU path.
Bosnia and Herzegovina’s political leaders need to show greater domestic responsibility and accountability. The EU calls on them to ensure a fully functional government in the Federation BiH entity after two elections, and four and half years of operating in a caretaker mandate.
The EU recalls its position that the Bonn Powers should only be used as a measure of last resort against irreparable unlawful acts.
