EU Delegation Condemns Amidzic’s Speech: Incendiary Statements Addressed to Zijad Krnjić and Bosniaks Unacceptable

Incendiary statements such as those made by BiH Finance Minister Srđan Amidžić to Zijad Krnjić, a member of the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) Management Board, and Bosniaks are unacceptable and do not promote an atmosphere of trust, the EU Delegation to BiH said.

“Political actors have a responsibility to refrain from divisive rhetoric,” it said.

Instead, the EU said, politicians should focus on delivering concrete benefits to citizens – including on issues related to indirect taxation and revenue sharing between entities, and a sustainable, long-term solution to ensure the full and predictable functioning of the Gradiška border crossing.
