endi-megafiThe European Union remains strongly committed to continue to invest in B&H, which has the potential to become a member of the Union, said the spokesman of the EU Delegation inB&H Andy McGuffie for Srna.

“The second phase of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance/ IPA/  is being planned, although the total value has not yet been confirmed. The first phase of IPA which referred to the period 2007-2013 has brought to B&H 660 million euros“, recalled McGuffie.

He noted that, for the realization of assets, B&H needs an effective coordination mechanism to allow the country to speak with one voice in the EU, for the strategies at the state level and strategies in different sectors.

“IPA funds make a difference in the quality of people’s lives in different ways, including a better judicial system, better transport infrastructure and stronger civil society. This is a great opportunity for B&H, which can be achieved by agreement of representatives of local authorities“, said Mc Guffie.
