The streets of Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje were filled with music, colour and the energy of the local community as the municipality celebrated its special day and EUFOR was pleased to be part of it.

The celebrations, which began in mid-September, brought together people of all ages through a programme packed with sport, culture and entertainment. From futsal, basketball and chess tournaments to art exhibitions, theatre performances and concerts, the town became a place where the community could come together and celebrate.

One of the most colorful moments was the public parade through the town center. Children from local schools and kindergartens, sports clubs and folklore groups filled the streets, bringing their energy, smiles and traditions to the celebration.

Hosted by the Mayor and the President of the Municipal Council, the event offered EUFOR an opportunity to meet the people of Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje, connect with local authorities and experience first-hand the strong community spirit that makes local celebrations so special.

For EUFOR, being present in communities across Bosnia and Herzegovina is about more than attending events. It is about building relationships, listening, connecting and being part of the communities, we serve.

And in Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje, there was certainly plenty to celebrate.
