Over the past three days, EUFOR actively participated in the 3rd International Coffee and Chocolate Fair in Tuzla, an event that brought together more than 15,000 visitors and exhibitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina and across the region.

During these days, Tuzla became a meeting point for people of different generations, cultures and interests, while the fair once again demonstrated how community events can send a strong message of peace, unity and mutual respect. Alongside the rich aromas and flavours of coffee and chocolate, visitors had the opportunity to enjoy educational programmes, creative workshops, concerts and numerous interactive activities for all generations.

Through its presence at the fair, EUFOR presented Operation Althea and its ongoing commitment to supporting a safe and stable environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The youngest visitors especially enjoyed creative games and activities with EUFOR soldiers, while the EUFOR medical team demonstrated basic first aid techniques and highlighted the importance of rapid response in emergency situations.

Commander of EUFOR, Major General Maurizio Fronde, addressed the fair, emphasizing the importance of events that bring people together and build trust among communities.

“For EUFOR, participating in this Fair is about more than visibility. It is about engagement with the community. Our mission is to support a safe and secure environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but equally important is building trust and understanding with the people of this country.”said Major General Fronda.

The organisers of the fair thanked EUFOR for its support and presence, highlighting that the development of events such as this would not be possible without a safe and stable environment. As a token of gratitude, the organizers presented the EUFOR commander, Major general Fronda with a plaque for the promotion of peace and co-existence.

“There are no differences here we are all one. At the Coffee and Chocolate Fair, we share family values, peace and togetherness,” said the Director of the Coffee and Chocolate Fair, Edis Bajić.

EUFOR remains committed to cooperating with local communities throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, continuing to support a safe and stable environment for all citizens.
