European and U.S. Indices are mostly on the Rise, along with Oil, Gold, and Wheat Prices

Yesterday, European and United States (U.S.) stock indices were mostly on the rise, as were the prices of oil, gold, and wheat.

The Frankfurt stock exchange index DAX rose to 19.456.45 points at 9:30 a.m. yesterday, the United Kingdom (UK) FTSE 100 climbed to 8.302.25 points, and the French CAC 40 increased to 7.544.75 points, while the Moscow MOEX fell to 2,719.23 points.

The value of the U.S. stock index Dow Jones dropped to 42.514.95 points before yesterday’s market opening in the U.S., the S&P 500 to 5.797.40 points, and the Nasdaq index to 18.276.65 points.

According to market data, the price of crude oil rose to 71.764 dollars, while Brent oil reached 75.791 dollars. November European gas futures on the TTF exchange were trading at 42.065 euros per megawatt-hour at 9:19 a.m. yesterday.

The price of gold increased to 2.735.30 dollars per ounce, and the price of wheat rose to 5.7962 dollars per bushel (with one bushel equal to 27.216 kg). Furthermore, the euro-to-dollar exchange rate stood at 1.07874 yesterday, roughly the same as on Wednesday.
