A meeting of leaders of the company ArcelorMittal Zenica and its biggest partners was held yesterday in Sarajevo, and the aim of the meeting was to present the plans for the five-year operation of the forge. One of the largest projects is definitely the new heating system.
The director of ArcelorMittal, Biju Nair, stated that their largest partners together have an annual income that amounts to 120 million BAM and that the future plan is very important for them.
“We are preparing together our future plan for the next five years, and it was presented today. It is very important for all of us to listen to each other, because we would all feel the consequences if the chain would be cut in one place. Preparation of plan of the new heating system is going very well, and EP BiH helped us both in the technical aspect and with their ideas. We are finally in the phase of registration of the company and joint activity through the Heating System Zenica (Toplane Zenica). We will start our activities together with the City of Zenica and our partners from Finland and we will also work with Energoinvest, which is the main designer of the project. If everything goes well, new plants will start working in early 2020,” stated Nair.
Enis Dzafic, the Director of Railways of the FBiH, said that all the participants in the work of ArcelorMittal have to adapt their capacities to future needs of the company.
“The Railways of the FBiH will have to procure a new number of locomotives and wagons in order to meet all the requirements for the transport of goods,” stated Dzafic.
Bajazit Jasarevic, the Director of Elektroprivreda BiH, noted that ArcelorMittal is one of the largest and most desirable customers of electricity.
