seeyn.logoEuropean Conference on “Cross-border volunteering in the European year of citizens – What is it?” began in Sarajevo today.

Southeast Europe Youth Network is the host of the conference and the European Volunteer Center is the organizer.

Director of the European Volunteer Center Gabriella Civico stated that this conference is important to exchange experiences and ideas between professionals working in this sector and volunteers. The European Volunteer Center organizes these conferences on various subjects twice a year.

This conference matches with the 20th anniversary of the death of Italian peacekeeper Gabriel Moreno Locatelli, a volunteer of the Italian organization “Blessed peacemakers” which performed a humanitarian mission in Sarajevo.
