National park “Una” is the first protected locality in Bosnia and Herzegovina which received the European certificate for sustainable tourism.
Director of the National Park “Una” Amarildo Mulić 3 days ago at the European Parliament in Brussels took the prize after which the ‘youngest’ national park in BiH will start working as one of the five parks in the region, which was added to the list of the most prestigious protected areas of Europe.
Mulić told FENA that obtaining certification great confirmation of good work in the past three and a half years and the advantage to further the protection and sustainable development of the NP “Una”.
He added that the World Environment Fund (WWF) and the Europark Federation recognized the level of development that the National Park “Una” reached, pointing out that the prestigious certificate will bring branding parks in the region on relevant maps and promotional materials, or tourist markets not only in the region but Europe and beyond.
