The Foreign Affairs Committee of European Parliament (EP), within the resolution on B&H adopted the amendment of the anti-corruption law proposed by the government of FB&H in October 2013, and assessed it as one of the few positive examples of last year.
“EP welcomes the decision of the government of the FB&H to introduce to the parliamentarian procedure a set of laws on the fight against corruption and organized crime and regrets that this package of laws did not receive a majority vote in the Parliament of FB&H and emphasizes the importance of the fight against corruption as an absolute priority, and calls for one inclusive process of consultations with all the stakeholders in order to update the draft law and greet the technical support of the EU delegation in B&H”, written in the amendment 15a of the adopted resolution on B&H.
As a reminder, the draft law on combating corruption and organized crime and the draft law on confiscation of illegally acquired property did not receive the support of the Parliament of FB&H, but the Prime Minister of the FB&H Nermin Nikšić announced that these laws will be integrated again in the procedure for adoption.
