Situation in flooded areas in Bosnia-Herzegovina is still extremely difficult, FENA announces.
Ministry of Security of Bosnia-Herzegovina and Operational and Communication centre 112 during the night and in morning hours received requests for help in flooded areas in Modriča, Maglaj, Bosanski Šamac, Orašje, Bijeljina, Domaljevac…
Ministry of security coordinated delivery of needed equipment, with help of trucks and helicopters, and it was planned for EUFOR trucks to participate in evacuation of population and transport of volunteers. Moreover, with help of helicopters, delivery of sand, boots, aggregates, raincoats and other equipment is also done.
During the day, the action of rescue with the help of helicopters owned by the Armed forces B&H, EUFOR and helicopters from Croatia and Slovenia, will be also continued. In the same time, the reception of international help in personnel and equipment is taking place.
During the day, arrival of saviors from Luxembourg with 5 boats and 23 saviors, from Slovenia 4 boats with 12 people and from Austria 8 boats with crew is expected. According to the Ministry of security, they will be immediately allocated to the most endangered territories.
