[wzslider autoplay=”true”]Born in Sarajevo, fulfilling the most difficult days with a brush, paint and canvas, Armin Misimović turns his city into the art. This artist discovered that all his fears, good and bad days and years are transferred onto the canvas, thus finding inner peace, not knowing that it will offer the world something that years later will occupy the attention of people in B&H, as well as worldwide.
Forgotten Sarajevo streets were faithfully brought to life through his art. One can almost hear the creaking of old wooden windows and carefully stored pickles and juniper, which smell as if the windows are open. When you run out of real words, colors and brushes are always telling a new untold story.
‘’Painting is not a job, but communication with the world, it is beauty, knowing yourself and your people, it is peace and tranquility, sometimes even escape from reality, or maybe return to the past. It is the smile of the old mother, who remembers the old house and street, a kind word by sudden passersby when he sees what pleased his eye,’’ says Misimović.
‘’Each painting is done with a special feelings and emotions, and they are all my children. Every picture is a story in itself, and can never be painted the same,’’ says the artist.
