Exhibition- ‘‘Five decades of Banja Luka Autumn Fair”

At the Museum of Contemporary Art of RS, and exhibition on the theme ”Five decades of Banja Luka Autumn fair” will be opened tonight. The exhibition will consist of awarded and bought works form the ”Autumn Fair”, a manifestation that lasted for thirty years and which is currently in the holdings of the Museum of Contemporary Arts of RS.

This exhibition will present paintings, graphics, drawings, sculptures and objects of Yugoslavian and foreign author whose works influenced the art movement of the second half of the 20th century.

” The City of Banja Luka has been the organizer of a very influential arts manifestation in the period from 1962 till 1992. This traditional manifestation proved that Banja Luka was among the rare cities in Yugoslavia that had preferences towards all positive ideas and tendencies of the visual arts.  After thirty years of the regional exhibition of artistic achievement, the Banja Luka ”Autumn Fair” progressed into an influential and irreplaceable manifestation of the Yugoslavian, and currently international character”- said doctor Sarita Vujković.

The Mayor of Banja Luka will open the exhibition ”Five decades of Banja Luka Autumn Fair” tonight at 20:00 p.m. The exhibition will be opened till the 15th February 2013.
