The Embassy of Japan in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in collaboration with the Japan Foundation and Collegium Artisticum, will organize the internationally acclaimed traveling exhibition “JAPANESE DESIGN TODAY 100”, at Collegium Artisticum (Terezije bb, Skenderija -1 floor, Sarajevo) from June 30, 2025, to July 22, 2025, open to the public every Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 18:00. Entrance is FREE of charge.

The exhibition offers a captivating glimpse into the heart of contemporary Japanese design through 100 items, most of which are products released after 2000, as well as several masterpieces from earlier times in which we can trace the roots of Japanese design. From everyday items such as stationery and tableware, to cutting-edge innovations such as smart electronics and avant-garde fashion, these influential products showcase the perfect fusion of functionality, minimalism, and aesthetics that defines modern Japanese craftsmanship.

The exhibition will capture the hearts of both design professionals and the general public, after three extremely successful Japan Foundation curated exhibitions in Sarajevo – YAKISHIME: Earth Metamorphosis in 2019, NINGYO: Art and Beauty of Japanese dolls in 2023, and Manga Hokusai Manga in 2024.
