“Natural and Historical Treasure of Bosnia and Herzegovina” is the title of the exhibition of photographs taken by Adis Tanović that was opened last night in the Gazi Husrev-Bey’s hanikah.
The exhibition features around a dozen BiH cities and 30 photographs from BiH.
The photographs, which are a part of a photo monography and a book which serves as a kind of guide through BiH and Sarajevo, show the natural beauties of Bosnia and Herzegovina, rivers, mountains, lakes, waterfalls, heritage from the Ottoman and the Austro-Hungarian period and everything that, according to the author, is currently the most significant for BiH to promote to the citizens of the European Union.
The exhibition is constantly changing and so far the author has held more than 50 promotions across Europe. Tanović recently returned from an 18-day long tour through Scandinavia where, with support of numerous organizations and associations, he presented all beauties of BiH to the citizens of Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
“It is my great honor to convey only positive impressions that the Scandinavian people have of our country, primarily regarding the construction heritage, the blend of the east and the west, natural beauties- mountains, rivers, lakes and waterfalls,” Tanović said.
The exhibition in Sarajevo will be opened until April 10, 2016. The upcoming promotions of the exhibition will be held on April 11 in the Local Museum Konjic and on April 30 in Zurich, Switzerland.
According to the author, it is being negotiated about holding the presentation in some other cities of the EU as well, and a new visit to Scandinavia is planned in autumn 2016.
