Exhibition of illustrations from book #WomenBiH – the book about the exceptional women from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) will be opened on March 8th in the Art Gallery of BiH in Sarajevo.
Fifty illustrations of women who, through their social engagement, broke stereotypes, promote women’s rights and advocated for emancipation, will be presented.
Volunteer initiative #WomenBiH started in March 2018 when Amila Hrustic Batovanja, Masha Durkalic and Hatidza Gusic every day published biography and photography of one exceptional woman, which contributed to the creation of BiH. Encouraged by the reactions, they decided to publish a book with biographies of exceptional BH women.
The exhibition is organized with the support and partnership of the British Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and will be open from March 8th to 16th.
