At the Kragljivode site, in the municipality of Srebrenica, mortal remains of at least three persons were found during the exhumation process conducted yesterday.

Identities of the victims whose mortal remains were found will be determined in a subsequent process.

According to the available information, it is assumed that the mortal remains found at these locations belong to the victims of Bosniak ethnicity.

An investigator of the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina directly supervised the activities in the field and coordinated the exhumation process, upon an order of the Prosecutor in charge of the case.

The process of searching for and the exhumation of mortal remains was conducted with the participation of the officers of the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina, representatives of the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP), a forensic medicine specialist, necessary employees of the Tuzla Commemorative Center, members of the Republika Srpska Civil Protection Administration team, and police officers of the Police Station in Srebrenica.
