The export of arms, ammunition and explosives from Bosnia and Herzegovina has never been higher, and it can be seen that this year will be a record, reports BiznisInfo.ba.

In the first nine months, the value of arms and ammunition exports from BiH amounted to 218.7 million BAM, which is about 20 percent more than in the same period last year.

For the whole of last year, exports amounted to 253 million BAM. If the trend of the first nine months continues, this amount will be greatly exceeded and 2023 will be a record year.

The largest buyer this year is the United States of America with 71.3 million BAM, and it is interesting that in second place is Bulgaria, to which we exported these goods worth 27.3 million BAM. Bulgaria was not even among the top ten buyers last year.

They are followed by Turkey (26.2 million BAM), Saudi Arabia (15.4 million BAM), Malaysia (11.2 million) and Serbia (9.2 million BAM).

Another similar type of product that is managed separately should be added to these statistics, namely explosives and anti-inflammatory products. We exported them this year in the value of almost 59 million BAM. Our biggest customer is Serbia with 12.2 million BAM.
