Expulsion Measures for 16 Foreign Nationals who pose a threat to Public Order in Bosnia-Herzegovina

Bosnia-Herzegovina’s Service for Foreigners Affairs registered 27,769 persons in the asylum procedures in the field and temporary reception centers, biometric data were taken from these persons, photographs were taken as well, and after that the inspectors collected operative interviews with them and data was exchanged with other law enforcement agencies in BiH.

When it comes to resolving the status issues of foreign nationals assessed as a threat to BiH’s national security, the Office for Foreign Affairs of BiH received information from 29 other relevant security institutions from 29 security-interested foreign nationals.

“Out of 29 security-interested foreign nationals, in 2019, the Service found, prosecuted and imposed expulsion measures for 16 foreign nationals who pose a threat to public order and security in Bosnia-Herzegovina, by taking action from their jurisdiction and intensifying activities to control the movement and stay of foreigners in BiH,” according the country’s Service for Foreigner’s Affairs.

Regarding readmission under the Readmission Agreement, in the period from January 1 to December 31, 2019, a total of 783 foreign nationals were admitted, out of all 783 pursuant to the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of Croatia on return and acceptance a person whose entry and stay is illegal, Klix.ba news portal reports.
