fairA fair was opened at which projects of 60 NGOs from the whole country were presented within the program of the Interethnic Cooperation, Women’s Empowerment and the Democratic Committee.

The Fair was organized by the “Mozaik” Foundation, in cooperation with the US Embassy in Sarajevo, which in 2014 invested more than four million BAM, and thus supported about 120 non-governmental organizations.

“Through these and similar programs, the US Embassy supports efforts to strengthen BiH as a multiethnic democracy that protects  first of all its citizens,  values tolerance and diversity, and provides for women, young people and minorities to realize their full potential “ said during the opening of the Fair Charge d’Affairs of the US Embassy in BiH, Nicholas Hill.

Hill pointed out that in the coming months a tender will be invited for awarding grants, and expressed the hope that the Fair will help ones to come up with new ideas and a way in which they can contribute to the development of BiH, regardless of whether they are already beneficiaries of a grant, or someone who has a good idea.

Mostar Mayor Ljubo Beslic thanked the US Embassy in BiH for the support to the non-governmental organizations, which, as Beslic said, strengthen the community in BiH. He expressed confidence that the US Embassy will continue to assist civil sector in BiH.
