At a session in Sarajevo, the FB&H House of Peoples approved with a majority vote that the FB&H Law on the Protection and Treatment of Children and Juveniles in Criminal Procedures would prescribe a maximum of 10 years in prison for juvenile offenses, as it was originally proposed.
After the initial proposal, in which the House of Representatives once voted on an amendment on increasing the maximum penalty for 10 years, the House of Peoples approved today an identical proposal of the joint parliamentary commission.
This harmonizes the law that was approved in the two parliaments in different variants.
