The Government of the Federal Republic of Germany has donated 12 Dräger respirators worth a total of 350,000 euros to hospitals throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday.
These are quality devices for artificial respiration and related equipment for which maintenance is provided on the territory of BiH. In addition, training for hospital staff will be organized for work on these devices. Respirators will be donated to hospitals in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Mostar, Zenica and Tuzla, and a respirator for the hospital in Nova Bila has already been delivered, Fena news agency writes.
German Ambassador Margret Webber said in Sarajevo today during the handover of the device that unity is especially important in times of crisis, and that Germany is with BiH even in times of global pandemic.
”This donation is part of our constant support to this country and should be a contribution to overcoming these difficult times together,” Webber pointed out, adding that the donation was realized in cooperation with the German civil protection -THW.
Member of the Crisis Staff of the Federal Ministry of Health and Assistant Minister of Public Health of Federation of BiH Goran Cerkez and head of RC East Sarajevo, Institute of Public Health of Republika Srpska Vlado Miovcic expressed gratitude for all the support that Germany continuously gives to BiH, health system and economy.
