Federation of BiH Mostly Visited By Tourists from Italy and Poland

touristsIn August 2014 total number of tourist arrivals was 76.898, which is 7,1 % more than August 2013 and 56,5 % more than July 2014.

 

Share of domestic tourist arrivals was 17,9 % and foreign tourists 82,1 %.

In August 2014 total number of tourist nights spent was 160.442, which is 2,6 % less than August 2013 and 63,9 % more than July 2014. Share of domestic tourist nights spent was 18,5 % and foreign tourist 81,5 %, the Institute for Statistics of FBiH announced.

According to the type of accommodation facility the highest number of nights spent was in Hotels and similar accommodation with share of 92,4 %.

Concerning the structure of foreign tourists overnights, the most of them (44,1 %) were realized by tourists from Italy (12,1 %), Poland (8,6 %), other Asian countries (8,1 %), Kuwait (7,7 %) and Turkey (7,6 %). Tourists from other countries realized 55,9 % of overnights.

Number of permanent bed places was 20.807 in August 2014, which is 11,6 % more than in August 2013. Net occupancy rate of bed places was 24,9 %.
