The session of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is underway, and the Minister of Finance of FBiH Jelka Milicevic informed the public that the government has made a decision to distribute funds of 30 million marks, 10 for summing up the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic and 20 million for capital investments in local governments.

When it comes to the procurement of vaccines, the director of the FBiH Public Health Institute, Sinisa Skocibusic, said that two million and 70 thousand doses of vaccines were procured or realized, and when direct contracts are in question, the contract is expected to continue and be realized. There is no concrete information yet for the purchase of 500 thousand doses of “Sinofarm”, but the producers from China said that they are actively working on that.

Today, 11,700 doses of Pfizer vaccines arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina from the European Union through the EU for Health mechanism, which aims to help countries that are not able to procure a sufficient number of vaccines for their citizens.

Today’s contingent is the eighth so far to arrive through this mechanism, the Ministry of Civil Affairs in the Council of Ministers announced.

The first round of vaccines arrived on May 4, and since then, tens of thousands of doses have been arriving continuously. New smaller contingents will arrive in the coming period until all 214,000 doses of Pfizer and 380,000 AstraZeneca vaccines have arrived, as planned.
