Red Warning issued for BiH for Extremely High Temperatures

The red warning due to the announced extremely high air temperature will be in force today for the area of ​​Mostar, Sarajevo, Tuzla and Bihac, and the orange warning for Banja Luka, Prijedor, Trebinje, Visegrad, Foca and Livno.

The highest daily air temperature is expected to be between 38 and 40 degrees in the area of ​​Mostar today, and between 37 and 39 degrees Celsius in Sarajevo, Tuzla and Bihac.

A warm night is expected in Banja Luka, Prijedor, Trebinje, Visegrad and Foca, while during the day it will be very hot with a maximum air temperature of 35 to 38 degrees, and in the area of ​​Livno between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius.

The red warning means that particularly dangerous weather phenomena have been predicted, which can cause great material damage and be very dangerous for the safety of people and animals.

An orange warning means that dangerous weather events have been predicted.

The Hydrometeorological Institute of Republika Srpska previously warned that very high daily air temperatures are expected from Monday, June 21, to Friday, June 25.
