An Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Emergency Medicine was signed today in Zagreb between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia and the Federal Ministry of Health.
This agreement further improves cross-border cooperation and ensures faster availability of emergency medical care for life-threatening patients.
According to the announcement of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia, the agreement was signed by the Croatian Minister of Health Irena Hrstić and the Federal Minister of Health Nediljko Rimac.
The agreement enables emergency medical care for Croatian citizens from the areas of operation of the Emergency Medicine Institutes of Dubrovnik-Neretva and Split-Dalmatia Counties in situations where life, an organ or part of the body is immediately threatened due to illness, injury or suffering.
The following is the conclusion of an agreement between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia and the University Clinical Hospital Mostar (SKB), which will regulate in detail the conditions for providing medical care through the Protocol for the Cross-Border Transport of Life-Threatened Patients.
“Many lives have already been saved thanks to successful cross-border cooperation. With today’s signing, we are further strengthening cooperation with the University Clinical Hospital Mostar, which has modern medical equipment and professional healthcare staff and can begin appropriate treatment as soon as possible, which gives patients the best chance of a successful therapeutic outcome,” Hrstić emphasized.
