Fifteen people killed in Prague, Dozens were wounded

At least 15 people were killed and 24 wounded when, in the afternoon, a person armed with an automatic rifle opened fire on Jan Palah Square, the attacker was killed, and according to local media, the attacker is a student of the Faculty of Arts of Charles University and is 24 years old.

Nine were seriously injured, six with moderately serious injuries, ten lightly injured.

The Prague police announced that the attacker was “eliminated” and that the building was being evacuated. The staff of the University, as well as the students who happened to be there, were told to “stay put”, barricade themselves in the premises and turn off the lights.

Eyewitnesses claim that the shooting lasted a long time. A mass shooting took place at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University on Jan Palah Square. Charles University is located in the old part of Prague, about 500 meters from the famous Charles Bridge.

According to the Prague media, this is the third mass shooting in the history of the Czech Republic, but also the most massive, with the largest number of victims.
