The Citizens Association Reunion of Novi Travnik announced its fifth annual gathering that will be held from 9-11 August.
The reunion, made up of citizens of Novi Travnik, was started by a group of people in 2009 on occasion of the 60th anniversary, with the goal to gather people of all ages and to hold a series of cultural and sport activities.
This year’s humanitarian action Reunion is marked by a three day gathering to collect money for Center Duga, which lends services to children with special needs, as well as disabled people, for the procurement of adequate means of transport.
A large number of people commute daily to the Center, which is the only institution of its kind in Central Bosnia Canton, and the capacity of existing vehicles is not enough.
This year’s meeting will start on Friday, 9 August at 20:00 in the cultural center Novi Travnik, with a documentary film “Reunion in lost homeland’’ by German journalist and director George Bayerle.
The Association said: “No one has made a bigger mistake than the one who did not do anything because he/she believed that not much could be done’’.
