At the 17th Sofia Film Festival, film which was inspired by the heroism of Srđan Aleksić ‘Circles’ which was directed by Srdan Golubović received the audience award.
The festival hosted 200 films, and the main award went to German film, and Tanović’s film ‘An Episode in the Life of An Ironpicker’ was also shown at the festival.
Film ”Circles” talks about Srđan Aleksić, an amateur actor, prospective swimmer, and a soldier during the War in BiH who lost his life while defending an ethnic Bosniak, his friend. Aleksić received several posthumous awards.
The script was written by Melina Pota Koljević and Srđan Koljević.
