On 7 February at 6 p.m. Art House Cinema Kriterion will start showing a crime drama ”A Man On A Train”, a remake of a 2002 French film ”L’homme du train”. The film is directed by Mary McGuckian and starring Donald Sutherland, Larry Mullen Jr.
The film talks about a mysterious criminal (Larry Mullen Jr.) who rolls into a small town planning a bank heist. But when he encounters a retired poetry professor, his plans take an unlikely turn. With no place to stay, the professor generously welcomes him into his home. As the two men talk, a bond forms between these two polar opposites, and surprising moments of humor and compassion emerge. As they begin to understand each other more, they each examine the choices they’ve made in their lives, secretly longing to live the type of lifestyle the other man has lived, based on the desire to escape their own.
Film will be showing on 7 and 8 February at 6 p.m. and on 10 and 13 February at 6 p.m.
Tickets are 5 BAM and 4 BAM.
