eu flagAll media are invited to a final conference of the EU funded project “Strengthening Public Financial Management in BiH”, that will take place on Monday, 6 July 2015, starting at 12:00 hrs at the EU Delegation to BiH (Skenderija 3a) in Sarajevo.

The European Union has provided around 2 million Euro from IPA 2010 for this project which aimed to support the Ministries of Finance at all levels of government in strengthening public financial management, including drafting of legislation and building capacity in the areas of internal audit and financial control, as well as the introduction of program budgeting as an instrument for results-oriented public spending.

The project has contributed to the reform and rationalization of public administration in the country, in order to increase transparency and efficiency in the spending of public funds.

The Project started in February 2013 and was implemented by a consortium led by GFA Consulting Group from Germany, EDA from Banja Luka and Capita HELM from UK.
