japanese calligraphyThe exhibition of Japanese calligraphy will be open on Monday at the hall of the Faculty of Economy of the University in Sarajevo (UNSA) at 18:00 o’clock.

Works of participants taking a course of Japanese organized by the UNSA and the Japanese embassy in B&H in the academic year 2014/2015 will be presented.

This is the 2nd time that UNSA and the Japanese embassy organize this exhibition. The interest of the students for this type of art as well as for participation at the exhibition is increased. The number of works which is this year two times bigger than the last year prove it.

Within the competition organized among the participants of the course, every student chosen a word in Japanese which describes B&H. Right next to the word written in Japanese calligraphy, there is also a translation with a short explanation on BHS.

Shodō – Japanese calligraphy is art of nice writing with brush and ink and has a great importance in the Japanese society. Except the readability, its aim is also to achieve a perfect aesthetic balance and spirituality – was communicated from the PR service of the UNSA.
