The Memorandum on Cooperation for the Realization of the Mining and Thermal Power Plant Kamengrad Project between the Chinese company China Energy Group and Lager Ltd. Posusje, was signed today in Budapest on November 27th , 2017 at the 6th Summit of the Prime Ministers of China and 16 countries of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), where Denis Zvizdic, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations – Mirko Sarovic participated on behalf of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

The memorandum was signed by the Chairman of the China Energy Group, Ding Yanzhang, and the CEO of Lager doo Posusje Dragan Stipic, in the presence of Minister Sarovic, representatives of FIPA and other representatives of relevant Chinese companies.

“We emphasize the fact that FIPA has found this Chinese investor, offered all available projects in BiH for which the investor was interested, was in constant contact with the investor, to reach the final selection that refers to RiTE Kamengrad. From establishing a first contact with the investor until the signing of the MoU, it has been less than a year, and in that time difficulties were resolved during negotiations between the investor and the project owner, “ FIPA said.

In economic terms, this project can be characterized as historical, given that the value of the project is higher than 1.000.000.000 BAM and considering its importance primarily for the development of the municipality, the cantons and the state. It will also represent one of the largest investments in BiH.

Investor China Energy Group is the largest Chinese group that realizes projects related to the energy sector around the world.

The American Journal of Engineering New-Record (ENR) has published a list of 250 leading international entrepreneurs, with China Energy Group at 11th position, while Top 150 Global Design Firms is at 4th position.
