hajjThe pilgrims from the area of Banja Luka and Bihac and some of pilgrims from the area of Sarajevo are the ones who departed as a first group from Sarajevo yesterday.

Before departure, pilgrims had gathered at the mosque, “King Fahd” in Sarajevo, where they studied ikrar common prayer together with the Reis-l-ulema Husein ef. Kavazovic.

In his speech, Kavazovic said that Hajj is the most important journey on which believers can go.

After the ceremony at King Fahd’s Mosque, the worshippers were escorted by family members and friends. Among the future pilgrims, the sense of happiness and anticipation before departure were present.

This year, 1,411 are travelling to Hajj. From that number, 1,225 pilgrims are traveling in the organization of the Office of Riyaset for Hajj, while 186 pilgrims are traveling in the organization of travel agency Biss Tours from Zenica.

As in the previous years,  due to the disputable security situation in Syria, pilgrims who travel in the organization by Office of Riyaset for Hajj will travel only by plane.

Additionally, believers who travel with Biss Tours will be escorted from Zenica.

The return to Bosnia and Herzegovina is scheduled for October 12th.
