The first light Bulb installed in Semizovac, just after the New York

Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and capital Sarajevo know little about the fact that the first light bulb was installed in Semizovac, just after the New York.

Thanks to Austro-Hungary, in the courtyard of the Primary School “Family of Ef. Ramic” in Semizovac there is the first light bulb in BiH. Now, the first light bulb stands as a monument.

The first light bulb in this town was shone in 1890, and only five years later the light bulb was used in Sarajevo as well.
