First memorial chess tournament ‘Ismet Baltić’ in Travnik

chessFrom 27 to 30 June, in organisation of association ‘Tolerancija’ a chess tournament in the memory of one of the greatest chess players of Travnik Ismet Baltić will be held in Primary School Travnik, reports hronika.ba

Eight chess players will participate and they will play 7 round. The tournament is a rated tournament and the referee is Sejfudin Miskić.

First ranked player will be awarded and the sponsors of the tournament are Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of SBK, SBK Assembly, Travnik Municipality, Trgo Ten, Eko Fis Vlašić, Grand 99.

Ismet Baltić was one of the best chess players of Travnik and BIH. He defeated many champions of former Yugoslavia. He also received recognition for his contribution to development of chess in Travnik.
