Docu Rough Cut Boutique, a collaboration of Sarajevo Film Festival and Balkan Documentary Center, proudly announces the first confirmed mentors at new edition that will take place from 19th to 24th of August 2013.
Docu Rough Cut Boutique is a tailor-made workshop that offers to 5 chosen projects in a rough cut stage professional coaching, expert advice and access to decision-makers that can have a crucial influence on moving the project forward to their successful completion. The workshop focuses on improving the quality of the project and finding creative solutions within the given material.
Pirjo Honkasalo, one of the most exciting poets and philosophers of the documentary cinema of today, joins our workshop as special mentor. This Finnish multi awarded director, script writer, cinematographer, film editor, producer, is working both in fiction and in documentary cinema.
Tue Steen Müller, a Spiritus Movens of the documentary scene, an expert and consultant from Denmark, with more than 30 years of experience, is joining us as a precious mentor with expertise in both the quality of film content and understanding the documentary industry. He was the first director of the EDN. His high profile expertise is always treasured by participants as a unique experience.
Rebecca Cammisa, a double Oscar nominee for documentary films and New York based prominent director, is joining our Docu Rough Cut Boutique as one of the main mentors who will have, next to her group sessions, one-to-one sessions with all participants of the 5 chosen projects as well.
