On 18 May, at 10 a.m. the action ‘Let’s do- clean the Earth for one day’ will start in the territory of the entire BiH. The action is dedicated primarily to cleaning of illegal landfills in one day, but also cleaning of open spaces and other landmarks, and protected areas of BIH.
On that occasion there will be a press conference on Wednesday, 15 May, at 11 a.m. in the UN House in BiH, Zmaja od Bosne bb Street, Sarajevo.
Following people will hold a speech at the conference: president of Association ‘Ruke’ Božidar Mihajlović, president of Association ‘Mozaik prijateljstva’ Milan Gligorić, assistant FBiH Minister of Environment Mehmed Cero, resident coordinator of the UN in BIH Yuri Aganasiev, spokeperson of the EU Delegation in BiH Andy McGuffie, head of the Department of Corporative Communication of HT Eronet Company Vanja Gavran.
The action ‘Let’s do it’ is being organise for the second time in BiH as a part of the global action to clean the planet, and organisers of the project are associations ‘Ruke’ from Sarajevo and ‘Mozaik prijateljstva’ from Banja Luka, while the sponsor is HT Eronet company with the help of UN agencies.
Last year’s action was the largest cleaning action in the history of BiH, with 37 000 volunteers that participated and during the action 5 500 tons of garbage were collected.
